Evergreen plants that need very little light ?

I have a really dark small stair with only a small window for light above the front door. I am wanting to cheer up and poulate this space with a bit of green.I could really do with some suggestions on what plants would be ok here.

The Peace Lilly doesn't mind shady areas (we have one). Check out this site about it, and other shade loving houseplants.

Could you also position a mirror behind the plant to reflect in more light?

an aspidistra is really the only plant that likes dark areas which is why they were so popular with the victorians, however if I were you I would buy a nice silk foliage plant no one will know the difference and you wont have to worry about plants dying from lack of light
