I have planted leeks in holes and watered them, do I have to keep watering them daily if it doesn't rain or leave them alone, I don't want to drown and rot them

The RHS websites states "Water during long, dry spells". That suggests to me that you need to water them if natures hasn't done the job for you for several days, but not actually daily:
