Hi green fingered folks. I have just bought a Venus fly trap and don't have a clue.
What is the best way to re-pot it to a larger pot without stressing it?
How damp does the soil need to be kept?
General Venus care tips welcomed !
Thanks

I hope this helps - very easy to Google... http://www.flytrapcare.com/
I used to grow them (and numerous other carnivorous plants) I always followed the advice of acclaimed carnivorous plant expert Adrian Slack who recommended a compost made up of sphagnum moss peat and sharp sand. They like a very sunny position in a greenhouse or on a window ledge, plenty of humidity and either rainwater or boiled kettle water that has cooled and allowed to stand. After a trap has been triggered a few times it will usually wither and turn black, it is recommended that the black trap/leaf be removed.
It is also recommended that the flowering spikes that emerge from the center of the leaf rosettes be nipped off as they appear.
