I'm looking at getting a steam cleaner for my lino flooring.

Can anyone recommend one? Or tell me that they are rubbish?

Thanks for the answers, can anyone recommend a particular make or model?

There seem to be hundreds on the market!
Black and decker...
I'v had an asda's own make one £27 it broke after a few uses, it soaked the floors but it was very light to use..
I'v now got a vax make £80 it cleans with the steam as its ment to (not soak) but its very heavy so is now a job for Mr A ..
My wifes got one and is always using on laminate and tiled floors, think it's made by Vax.

If she had a choice, she would get rid of me and keep the steam mop.
Mr Helmet cleans our floor with ours as it's too heavy for me too arwyn
I've just got this one and its very good -got a 'Which' best buy award -dare not put a link in case its see as advertising but its called the H2O MOP® X5™ and you can buy it from Thane direct for £99 -it has attachments for floor steam dusting, windows and upholstery -its my new toy at the moment -takes grease of oven bottoms and got rid of shoe polish on ceramic tiles -highly recommended
Mine is easy to use light and manouverable with a swivel head...bought from Argos...think it was around €90 with 3 pads...can buy extra pads from Argos...
I wouldn't go for Karcher. the cloth heads dont stay on the steam bit. I replaced my karcher with an oreck which i am very pleased with. It only does floor cleaning but that's all i want.
I have the same one as magsmay and would give it 9/10. It's light and really quick to use. Wouldn't be without it.

lol @ SlackAlice!

I've been looking at the Vax, do they really leave the floor dry?
lard the asda one was so light but wet the laminate far too much. I can't budge this vax thing ha ha, best thing I ever bought :)
The cheapest Best Buy (Which?) is Efbe-Shott Delta head- just over £30 on Amazon.
We've got a Vax and it's OK. It fetches up the ceramic floor tiles a treat even after we've been tramping all the slush and crap we've been getting lately all over the place.
Not quite dry, takes about 5 minutes to dry. No excess water though.
I also got a hand held steamer that does Windows.. wall tiles blinds curtains stairs etc. Thrown in free with floor steamer..
2sp vax leave the floor almost dry but are heavy.
