Orchids

Help .All of a sudden the flowers have been dropping off the stems even though I have not overwatered them and have kept it on a windowsill that doesnt get too much sun.There are still some buds on some stems .Ihad it bought for me as a birthday present in June and would hate to lose it .Id be grateful for any advice ,please .Thankyou .

If its been in flower from June, that might just be that its done its bit and needs to rest.
They won't stay on there forever. If you're lucky once all the flowers have opened and finished you can cut the stems back and it will send up some more.
Sounds as if the flowers are at an end. Look after it and it should flower again next year.
I've got one that I've had for more than 3 years. It must have flowered about a dozen times. It looks dead as a dodo between flowerings but buds soon appear and its starts all over again.
I agree with the others...when you're given an orchid it might have already been in flower for weeks. I've had one that's flowered with breaks for about nine years!
