Ox-eye daisies

I have allowed a large patch of ox-eye daisies to get a grip in my lawn and although the large patch does look glorious in June, they now look rather untidy.

I have heard that I can now mow over them and that they will return just as glorious. Is that true?

If the seeds have set then mow them and leave a couple of days before raking up the grass so that the seeds can fall through.
