We have this bush in the garden .When it comes into bloom it looks glorious and it's just starting now .However I have no idea what it is . It was here when we moved in nearly nine years ago .
Any offers ?

Afternoon each, here I is. It was my uncle's funeral yesterday so it was a long day and I'm shattered today. Of course being with my sister meant we mislaid ourselves twice which added to travelling but we're used to it. If there's a scenic route we can always find it.
Lovely send off, church, crem and a very smart venue for the buffet. He sang in an all male voice choir until a couple of yrs ago but carried on travelling with them after his voice had gone. 40 out of the 80 men came to church so the singing was amazing (meant I could mime). There was also an unsurprising amount of women in the gathering, he was a terrible flirt and charmer and knew everyone in his home town. It was lovely to catch up with some of our cousins again, one I hadn't seen for over 50 years.

Very cold but lovely sunshine all day today...they promised us sun yesterday but there wasn't a glimmer.

My dentist send texts and emails so there isn't much excuse for not attending.
Hope you feel better neti.

Hello all
Sounds as if it all went well Robinia.Or as well as these sad occasions can go.He sounds like a lovely character.
Another cold day here but it's been bright and sunny which made a nice change. All very well going on these jaunts but I need a week to get over them.Creak mode is putting it mildly.
Glad you feel a bit better Neti.

I must have deleted at least 40 emails today all containing the phrase Black Friday in the topic line. I hope none of them were selling anything I wanted.
I have done well out of Black friday emails. Got my godson a gift (birthday in july) and my sis a gift (birthday in feb) and a new ironing board. I just have to keep a note now of where I put the gifts.
oh, we don't get excited about this sort of thing in the big city, Woofy

I deleted a load this morning and I've just had another lot which have been deleted .I don't want anything really especially big ticket stuff. I got more off two jumpers in Debenhams on a discount day recently than the BF reduction.
Do what I do Woofy, put them away in a safe place .So safe you'll turn the place upside down when you go to look for them :)
I have actually cracked it :) I have put notes in my computer calendar telling me what I have bought and where I will store it when it arrives. I have set the calendar up to message me two weeks before the birthday!!
I am glad the funeral went ok Robi but yes a long and tiring day
Neti, feel better soon please. I will send you Fennings Fever Mixture.
My dentist does texts too.
Ha ha Jno, that’s like the old “save up to” scam.
I had a bit of a shocker today we were going along a very narrow lane, just room for two to pass and an oncoming van didn’t slow down and smashed my wing mirror. Lucky it was no worse really. Van didn’t even slow let alone stop. The bang was like the end of the world. Wing mirror is the posh kind which heats, folds and has a indicator repeater so repair cost is likely to be the posh kind too. Heigh ho its only money.....

That's well efficient Woofy.I'm a note and list writer but I usually lose them somewhere.
How frightening for you.Good job it was only the wing mirror. It's an expense you can do without though.People do that here ,hare round narrow country lanes as if their backsides are on fire.
ooh, that's nasty, woofy. Some clown hit mine with his the other day while driving a foot over the white line, but fortunately all it did was fold back; I expect his did too, but I wouldn't mind if it exploded.
Good morning all. Sorry about your uncle Robi, he certainly sounds like a character!
Oh woofy, so organised. I don't do sales ever. Over here they are such a rip off and things are expensive anyway, and in UK I find things souch cheaper so
So I buy when in UK anyway as it is all so much cheaper. They have made Lidl close on a Sunday here now to give the local manky higher priced shops a chance! As if! And i am annoyed as I like popping there some Sundays.
Ouch woofy, wing mirrors of that ilk are very expensive aren't they? Were the dogs with you? And were they OK?
Just been chatting to Hija she says her area (financial district) is being ruined by the drunken antics of the tourists, I am surprised they allow it.
Morning...back to grey here after yesterday's vitamin D overdose.
What a lousy thing to happen woofy, thankfully it wasn't more serious. I hate hearing cars have a knock, the noise is terrific.

I confess I quite like glossy brochures, I pick them all up in shops & diy stores. I got a really posh one last xmas, House of Bruar(?) but mostly I only get Screwfix through the post...probably because I bought some cupboard knobs. The postie must think I'm a dab hand at diy, he'll be asking for a quote.

Neti I think many areas are being spoiled by drunken antics. The Raving Robi Party has some potentially unpopular suggestions on that subject.
I am quite surprised its happening in Dubai though.
I love those magazine inserts which advertise snow boots and slippers and everything that I do actually want but its all online. I love browsing through them. I have done 2 loads of washing and had a bath and a hair wash. Now sitting in lounge. Defo getting better but no energy. But as the doctor pointed out to Hija, I am old!!

Hello all
Bright and sunny here but chilly.Nothing much going on and if there was much going on I couldn't ba to join in.I got a brochure this morning.I bought some lightbulbs from them ages ago and they send one nearly every week.
I'm now tempted to buy a Christmas ornament of robins in a snow scene and a light up elf hat with elf ears:)They have snow globes too.I love snow globes.
I see all these Xmas jumpers with flaahing lights etc being advertised on tv, would so love one. Am now wrapped up on sofa with the fire on watching an old Midsomer. Nice!!!
Behave neti....flashing lights on your bazooms? Tut.

Morning...grey and cold. Rubbish night's sleep, the critter(s) decided to get active, right over my bedroom. I did tap lightly on the ceiling with a tickling stick (don't even think about it) but it was a while before it went quiet. I couldn't really bang like mad, the neighbours would think I'd been on the herbs.

Hope you all feel livelier than I do.
lively... not so much. Went to our German neighbours last night for their pre-Christmas bring-and-buy party for charity and am feeling thoroughly mulled.
