If your room is a bit wonky do you put the curtain rail up properly straight or straight to the wonkyness of the room. IE so it is straight or straigh looking?

The rail has to go up straight and level or the curtains will not hang properly.
Put it up straight ie horizontally using spirit level.

So they go up straight but look wonky then?
Yes, if you put it up to match the wonky walls it will make it look a lot worse and as I said the curtains will not hang right.
I agree (also living in a slightly wonky house)

the curtains are the one thing you can guarantee will be exactly vertical and anything other than the pole being exactly horizontal will look very strange.
I live in Wobbly Bottom cottage .. My inglenook is 1 1/2" higher at one end to the other, however my Plasma screen above it is level .. exactly .. and it looks good. Get my drift?
