I have a Vauxhall Astra and have recently had the timing belt replaced.  Is this the same as the CAMBELT?

Glad you've had it done. The belt on a friend's Astra was not changed when it should have been. It broke, leading to a �1000 bill.

There is not such thing as a cam belt. In the vauxhall astra you have a timing belt and a camshaft.
