Roof gulley pointing

I have to replace the pointing under the tiles (Marley moderns, so large and concrete) into a fibreglass gulley. What's the best way/materials to avoid cracking, degrading and so on? The current cement pointing hasn't weathered well.

Hi Ifor you could put some waterproofer in your sand and cement mix (aquabar ) or the like springs to mind that would prevent water penetration so should stop the dreaded frost degrading the pointing hth Tez
