hi all, was hoping some one could help me out! I have a hole from a punch in one of my interior doors, and as my house is rented, it needs fixing before we move, any ideas of how to do it? a friend suggested to stuff it with newspaper, plaster over the hole and paint it? would this work? many thanks in anticipation!!

internal doors are pretty cheap might be easier to buy a new one if you are good at DIY
hi kat83 you should be able to use this method http://www.diydata.com/general_building/plaste r_repairs/stud_wall_repair.php but use no-nails to hold the inserted piece of plywood or pasterboard wait until it is set then use polyfilla HTH Tez

thats a thought actually, though as this is an army house, i will have to find one that is exactly the same! argghhh! stress! lol
kat83 - my husband spent years painting forces houses. As you probably know 'marching out' isn't as strict as it used to be. If you can manage a decent repair and paint it well it is unlikely to be noticed.

Hubby suggests giving your friends suggestion a go, using white powdered filler.

Dont go banging the door after tho!
