We have discovered some damp on the wall in our bedroom. We only moved here 8 months ago and although we had a survey done it wasn't in the report. However we are lease hold and apparently all outside maintenance should be dealt with via the management of their properties. First though I am wondering if its something we can deal with ourselves? Does anyone know if there is something we can paint on or spray on to seal the area. Its only a smallish area but damp never the less. Thanks in advance for any help. DD

You can buy damp proof paint in B & Q - focus etc which u just paint on and then you can paint over it- i had the same problem in room and (touch wood) there is no sign of it coming through and its been done nearly a year now
