Is it possible to take the taller leaves out of houseplants such as aspidistras? I have one that's about 4' tall and the tips are brown (I've since taken to keeping them humid) but I'm wondering if I can take them out to neaten it up a bit. Can I treat all similar plants - where the leaves spout from the base - similarly?

Just cut off any Aspidistras leaves that have brown tips. The tips usually go brown when they are in direct sunlight so try to put the plant out of the sun .. they really prefer to be in a fairly shady spot.
