Quiet Time Switch?

I have got a couple of table lamps in my living room that I have on timers, the kind with a dial on with little peg things that plug into the wall socket and the lamp plug plugs into that. The problem is that when they go off, they click really loudly which isn't conducive to a serene atmosphere.

Does anyone know of timer switches that turn on and off quietly please? I am happy to pay a bit to get what i want.

Thanks

gingelbee, it was jomifli who suggested that I should try Poundland for a plug in timer, No offence to Jomifli but while I'd be quite happy to buy cables and battery operated or solar stuff fro poundland I wouldn't buy stuff that plugs into the mains.
Sorry woofgang but now you have completely confused me. You appear to be happy to buy cables from Poundland but nothing that would require a connection into your electric circuitry. Surely most cables are mains connected; even if indirectly, as with those on computers.

no, my laptop, tablet and phone an be disconnected from the mains....anyway that's kind of irrelevant to my OP?
Cheer. I had hoped you would have given a reason for having table lamps on time switches.

I have table tamps on timers simply because I like it. The lamps are not in easily accessible places and are for decoration rather than function.
