I think the last time I watched Corrie, some guy had just killed a few neighbours and then driven a car filled with squealing bad actors into a river!
After seeing the TV guide. I see that as a tradition, they are going for the shock factor.
It's Christmas, let's kill unborn/newborn babies, or pregnant women or elderly people.or newly married people.
Let's have divorces and affairs and murders and violent suicides!
Kill or maim as many characters as possible to boost your ratings.

Never mind that there may be people out there with souls who are actually upset by the tv company's complete disregard for a persons' happiness. There are actually people out there who want to be entertained. Not depressed!

I don't watch it...
hey there's happy bits, they found little simon :-)
never watch it......prefer Emmerdale if I have to watch depressive soap
Count me in on everything you've said - can't remember how many years since I've seen it.
I don't watch it either these days, they are all too sensational and all too similar story-lines. I stopped watching soaps when the aeroplane fell on Emmerdale.
Must have missed that too.
Probably because I have never watched it voluntarily.
i no longer watch any "soaps". rubbish, imo
I've never watched Corrie regularly. Last time I saw it was when Jack & Vera clad their house in that blue & yellow 'stone'.
Eastenders started it! Corrie only used to have a sing song round the piano! I admit
to liking the soaps but I'd like something a bit more cheerful now and then.
Oh LOL naz, even I remember that!
How long ago was that, boxy?
