our area is soon to go aheadd with the nationwide databank for the nhs. it means that our "basic" details willbe available to any nurse / doctor anywhere in the uk, (ie name, address, current medications, allergies). I think in THEORY this is all very well but i don't trust that this information won't get lost or misused. (lets face it the governments history isn't great with keeping our records safe)...

what do YOU all think of this.

there is an option to "opt out" but on questioning i found out that this "opting out" can be undone by deleting a simple "read code" - which any oif the "authorised clnicla staff - ie dr's nurses) can do - without you permission. I don't like it.
