I keep hearing him quoted in various business presentations and I just wondered was he any good? Was he a battle winning leader or just some chap with a great name and a line in clever quotes?

Von Clauswitz was a forward thinking battle strategist in Napoleonic times. He was very clever and offered a different approach to batle thinking in that he would plan ahead and cater for many variances rather than 'storm the castle with lots of men and muskets.'
He was good and he is frequently quoted in military history and also in todays leader training in the modern British Army.
