I have a medal dated June 1897 commemorating the 60th year of the reign of Queen Victoria. It seems to have been issued to students of "Cripplegate Boys' School, Founded 1698".
Can anyone tell me where this school is or was?
Thanks in advance.

and the date is the same ...Under Luke's St. Scroll down a bit and it says

The parochial school for boys was established in 1698, etc...

Thanks very much for the link. I had tried without much success for quite some time. Thanks to your link, I now know the school was only a short distance from where my grandfather was born, so I'm sure the medal was given to him by the school. I wonder how many others have survived?
