Apart from VE day 1945, did anything else significant happen on 8th May in history?


Our son was born last Monday and we're filling in his "Baby days book".

Well he shares a birthday with Harry S. Truman, Jack Charlton, oh and Gary Glitter -maybe leave that one out!


And appropriately enough it's parents day in Korea - apparently it's also "National Outdoor Intercouse Day" - I wonder if there's a connection?
