If you are looking for an opinion: What did the Romans do for Us? Rome bequeathed Christianity (The Catholic Church), Law (or certain principles of law) and Infrastructure (Roads and Sewers etc).
Lots of this was lost and rediscovered, the Norman conquest reintroduced a Roman influence to Saxon England for example. Roads fell in and out of use but survived in places until Victorian times. Romans had advocacy and jury trials. So most of the world has been influenced by Rome.
