Looking more like this one(up the road fro me) will not be solved now. Hardly surprising they cant find them Dorset police struggle to find the hole in their own backsides most of the time. only crimes they can successfully 'solve' are speeding motorists.

Watching it unfold has in excruciating, they really dont seem to have a clue.

What are you talking about? They have arrested the 3 likely culprits already. I'm pretty impressed on the speed of Dorset police's actions, this didn't occur in a city full of CCTV.
Dorset police + 1
If only ymb had seen the DM report published at 11.06 today instead of his link (updated at 02.39):

Sorry Prudie, I was looking for the report I had read earlier.

Well looks like humble pie for me. I looked at the story at the top of the page presented.

Lets hope they have them, Verney close - Turbary Park/West Howe, I grew up not far from there - what a lovely area!
Peter Pedant mentioned this case on another thread a few days ago and I looked it up, so awful.

Do hope they have those responsible.

Tragic for his Husband and family.
It was a monstrous crime, the sort of thing you see in films but don't expect to happen in the UK.

Yes it is, this place is not easy to find and certainly not a place you would randomly pick. And why would 'burglars' take a gun to a 'bog standard' house burglary? More to this than meets the eye.

that's *** land YMB!
the *** are a combination of a common pastry containing meat and a device for unlocking a lock! Looks odd I mean if it was a robbery why would they shoot the bloke, I doubt he'd have resisted. More to this I think.
The article certainly indicates they think there is premeditation and planning in this, if any others involved let's hope they get them too.
I presume you mean pie key land.
Well said, ymb.
Lifestyle might have something to do with it.
If the assumption the burglars/killers are drug addicts is correct you may well be right.
That was not my assumption.
I know.
yeah I liked

'male voice over': now after 24h - police cars are coming up the road and parking outside the house....

wow - travelling at the speed of light compared to west darzet aaaarh!

I thought the last murder in Dorset was the Bradpole lad who was blown to smithereens in the Green Park bomb in 1973
BUT.... there have been others...

Droogz in Darzet ?

yeah fraid so .... one secret smugglers route that only I knew was
1. land droogz at Weymouth
drive directly north thro evershot ( that would be Bridport Beaminster and Benville Lane to E.) and north to Bristol - I dunnot foo Yeovil probably and join motorway to Lundy

damn anyone reading this - I will have to shoot now

and so Darzet has a very high droog user rate ( well 100men and a few hundred thousand sheep and cows so if there is one drug user in D the rate is a v high 1% )

I hvae no specialised knowledge of drug smuggling routes in the east of the county
