When you consider the 10,000's of miles of coastline that Europe has, I think this is marvelous. Its long been my favourite beach and view....I can recommend it to everyone !

Looks lovely mikey but it's all very subjective. You were beaten by Weymouth which is local to me. If you want to go to a beach crawling with grockles, surrounded by fish and chips, shellfish kiosks, amusement arcades and countless clubs then Weymouth is your destination. I wouldn't go there if you paid me.
B****r !...you are right 237....4th in Europe !

Mikey - Woolacombe is no 1 on there for the UK but 4th for Europe. Croyde beach is another good one in North Devon. It`s full of supercool surfers (in fact the whole village is "cool" - especially the pub. You have to be tanned, young and have blond, seableached dreadlocks just to step over the threshold.
yes you lucky man mikey, I went to the gower/mumbles about 7 years ago. I had to fly to cardiff for a mates 50 birthday celebration, and had a spare day to myself, so i jumped on a train to swansea, and got a small bus to that lovely beach, was worth it. keep telling the mrs about going there. because she´s spanish, she just thinks its a crazy idea, going to a welsh beach, with visions of a cold blustery beach.
I can't guarantee the weather piggy, thats for sure !
But the Worms Head Hotel has plenty of warm bedrooms, and imagine waking up to that view every morning !
