/// "My message is clear: we will not tolerate racism in Britain. It has absolutely no place in our society and where it exists, we will kick it out," he said. ///

How does Cameron and his proposed 'racism summit' expect to kick racism into touch?

Have you any suggestions, that will help them?

KK and Suarez must have missed that memo, AOG.
The Country is f*cked, yet they are wasting time meddling in football. I wouldn't trust Cameron to successfully sort a pair of socks.

Once upon a time only the captains and referee officials would shake hands. Based on this latest furore regarding Suarez maybe we should return to this practice.

Interesting point, I wonder if they were to cut their huge salaries down by 50%, would they come out of football?

I don't think so somehow.

There isn't a mechanism to reduce footballers' salaries. Also, I would argue that they're not actually overpaid.

Adele, Madonna, Katy Perry and Coldplay make a lot of money - but that's because they entertain hundreds of thousands of people/

Same with footballers.

If Sky and other broadcasters are raking in profits from showing games, then this has to be reflected in the salaries of the players.
I agree with you Sp1814
There is a lot of money in football and if the players dont get it someone else will

Perhaps if all these over-paid prima donnas, were to take a reduction in their salaries, then perhaps it wouldn't cost the ordinary man and woman in the street, so much to watch them perform?
They are a commodity AOG.

The market charges the highest it can get. Sky are getting enough subscribers, ITV are selling enough advertisers and the clubs are selling enough seats. No business in their right mind would reduce the price when the demand is there.

I don't think it is money that is the route of racism in football.
Try stopping me cheering my team & you're likely to drown in the Thames.

One thing about it is, although they get paid these enormous amounts they don't seem to be able to hold on to it for long so maybe most of it will get back into the economy.

// yet look how many blacks are in prem and champs sides, how come ? //

Because they are good footballers.
