WW1 medal

My grandfather was killed in France in WW1. I have just found a record on line that he won a Victory medal. How do I find out if it was awarded and who to.

You could try writing for his service record. If you know his service number, that would be a big help. However, if you know his full name and what service he was in, you can find out details about him here:
