Who wrote the music for the british version of the film 'Alfie'

As far as I know there was only the one version of the film - bit puzzled by the British/American references. The composer of the title song was Burt Bacharach - who wrote it ( and countless other songs) for Dionne Warwick - although Cher sang it in the actual film.

Burt Bacharach wrote the song; but the jazz saxophonist, Sonny Rollins, is credited with the original film music.

We've had this before. Sonny wrote it. Cher sang it. And no there hasn't been a USA version yet, though i am told they are in the middle of shooting one
