Are there any official Birth Marriage and Death Records for Ireland that are available online? I've signed up to god knows how many different websites that all profess to have ireland data on them but they have either one county census in 1851 or a military record for some obscure village in derry.

In a short word no. Most of the good genealogical info was destroyed 1916-21 in Ireland during the struggle against the British. There are endless local parish records etc and local history centres in Eire that will search for you, but online you're fairly limited unless your ancestors left and emigrated somewhere where you might find more info.Try the latter days saints website too, the IGI, as that can sometimes surprise you with what they have, but other than that it's just poke and hope I'm afraid.

The only survivng census retrns are the 1831 for County Derry with index for 15 Parishes (15,000 names) and a 1901 census for Derry City and part of Co Derry
