Can anyone please check who was living at 19 charlton street, ashington, northumberland please on the 1911 census, for some reason i cant seem to search for it. TIA
Sorry, not done a search for ages, but just tried Ancestry's. Must be something up because it reckons it's found 10,405 hits. Must've been blooming crowded there.
Have you no other info to tie down the search other than the address?
Looked in 1911 census records there are only 6 houses listed for this street: No1 Robinson family, No2 Redpath family, No3 Foster family, No 5 Lowrey family & no6 Gregory family. Looking in 1939 records No 19 was occupied by a Mrs Dorothy Robson (widow b 1893) & her son Robert Robson (widower b 1911 a labourer in a brickyard). Would appear that the street was extended sometime between these records perhaps searching local planning records may tell you when this happened.
