Can anyone answer these questions? It is said that we are all Adam’s seed; we are all related since we are the descendants of Adam and Eve and that the world was populated through incest as the DNA was pure in those days and there was no one else on earth to marry. If that is the case, why is it that it’s a problem to have a child for my cousin and not a problem to have a child for my husband? Isn’t my husband’s DNA polluted too? Aren’t we all from the same bloodline? Why is the genetic code polluted for only some people?. Incest is a crime today. How do you explain the logics that I am not related to my husband and many of my male acquaintances why it would not be a health problem to bear their children? So, are we only related to some people and not related to another set? Did the Bible teach that?

Incest is only a problem in that the genetic info is too similar between the parents, and so there is a much greater chance of defects becoming active in the offspring.

Blood itself or bloodline is not the issue.

The greater the distance between one and one's partner the less similar that genetic data is, and the lower the risk of a defect appearing in the your offspring. Some cultures allow cousins, others not. It's a subjective opinion where a culture draws the line.

Ultimately we are all related (if it comes to that all living things are) but it doesn't count as incest if one is outside the legal definition.

Besides there seems to be a natural distaste for most to be intimate with those from one's own family; probably a case of being too familiar and seeming at best a friend rather than a sexual partner.

Naturally this is quite aside from any religious teachings. It's a corporeal issue rather than a religious one.

//The Adam and Eve story is a very good story, but not genealogically correct. //

The Adam and Eve story, as taught by religion, isn't as the bible tells it - but not to worry. I seem to be talking to myself.

Why are we not all the same colour?
Good question.
Because some of you are embarrassed.
