I'm just Scottish really. One rumoured English great great Grandad but were not positive lol. Our surname is Irish I think. Not very exciting haha :-)
English, Irish, Catholic with Flemish, Dutch and German thrown in, not sure where the surname comes from, either Holland or Germany. Are we cousins, although there's no Jewish as far as I know.

I think i'm one of a 'select' few. As far as i've been told the few people who share the same surname as me are family to me. It's quite an unusual spelling

I always grew up thinking my surname was family only in the UK but since I've started a bit of genealogy I've found a few more, unless they are distant cousins I don't know of.

english irish welsh german, german jews with family kept in british concentration camps in ww1. Mostly Irish english which accounts for the nutty ness lol
does it matter where you are from. i always thought what sort/kind of person you are is the most important thing about you.
My surname and the Dutch, German Belgium stuff comes from my father, paternal grandfather was from Belguim (miserable old sod) with the rest of the ancestry on that side Dutch and German. It would be very spooky, you're not my mad cousin Norman are you............
