PS3 non disc reading-ARGGGH

O.k so bought time crisis 4, played it, turned of PS3, next time i turned it on it will boot up etc and show saved data but won't read or play any game that is in there.....is this a manufacturers fault as i have had a little look on forums and it seems to be a common problem, someone said they played a dvd fine and then the game played after but only a couple a times then it stopped again....anyone?! please :O)
