Stuck on DS New Super Mario Bros

I keep getting stuck on World 6 level 4. I get past all the flames, then press the P symbol which makes some red stepping blocks appear, but even when I get on these, I cannot jump up high enough to get to the next bit. I have nowhere to go and run out of time. I tried saving one of those mushrooms which make you really big, but that didn't work!!!! Any ideas?

im confused which bit you mean ive completed mario before so just tell me in abit more detail wich bit u are and i can help you.

Hi, it's okay I've worked it out now. I needed to wall jump, which I didn't know how to do before.
