The Ds will connect to most wifi sources, so you will need a router on your PC.

You will also need to buy a wi-fi pack for your DS so that it'll pick up the signal from your router.

Your DS has wi-fi built in already...you don't need a Wii. So long as you're near a wi-fi hotspot, or have wireless internet enabled in your home, your DS will search and connect to the source.
