connect xbox 360 to pc using netgear DG632 Modem Router

We bought our son an xbox 360 for his birthday and he wants to go on line to play games but when he tries installing the DG632 we can get connected to the modem but it wont let us on the net or connect his game.We have followed the instruction that came with it but it still wont work.Can any one help? Please.

Do you mean that you already had the router before the 360 ?
A few more answers needed...
1 Is the router wireless ? If so,you will need to buy the wireless pack for the 360 at around �60

2 If you have connected the 360 to the router,I assume you are using auto-connect so at what stage does it fail ?

No we got the router after we had got the xbox 360.We can get the connection to the router ok but we can't get on to the internet.It is a wired router/modem.When we put back in the externel modem it works ok and we can get on to the internet no problem.We connected the router to the pc using the usb cable and connected his game with the ethernet cable but it still came up that his game was not connected.Don't know if this helps?
