I have a friend who I love dearly but all of a sudden her conservatory is a Orangery,it’s been a morning room as well , she likes her Earl Grey tea ( dish watter) and goes to the ‘ Orangery ‘ to listen to the omnibus edition of the Archers , we just laugh at her but in a nice way and always to her, not behind her back

Oh yes and we do tease her. One thing she's never forgiven me for is the day my car broke down out in the country. A truck load of travellers stopped to give me a lift in their trailer of scrap metal...no room in the cab.
The nearest house with a phone was my friend's house. Seeing me clamber out of the trailer full of scrap on her drive still has her tutting at me.... :-)

It's where the wealthy folk kept their orange trees over winter...before supermarkets...
My friend used to write articles in our dog club newsletter. On a holiday in Scotland we were in a taxi and she was in the front next to the driver, while two of us sat in the back. She told him she was an author and he could see us in the mirror p*ssing ourselves and shaking our heads.
