A dying man is kept in a room with two guardians. The room has two doors, one to
heaven, and the other to hell. The dying man knows this, but he does
not know which door is which. He also knows that one of the guardians is always telling the truth, and that the other always tells lies, but he does not know
which guardian is the truth-teller and which is the liar. He is allowed to ask just
ONE question of one of the guardians: he may choose which guardian to ask, and he
may decide what question to ask. (Both guardians know which door is which,
and each knows the other's lying or truthful disposition.) What single
question can the dying man ask in order to find out for certain which door
leads to heaven?

"if i asked the other guard if this door leads to heaven, what would he say"
If I ask your colleague which is the door to heaven, what will he say? The man then chooses the other door.
Something along the lines:- To either man ask what will the other bloke say if I ask him which is the door for heaven. The liar will say the same answer as the guy who tells the truth.

I think!!!

Bump
They've got it ^^. Ask one guard which one the other would say was heaven. And then choose the other door.
I'd like to ask if he was still alive why was there doors to heaven and hell?
why are you bumping? you have your answer.
Ask one of them:

"Will the other Guardian tell me that you are keeping the door to Heaven ?"

If the answer is yes, then that means the door leads to hell;
Maybe in this instance the 'bump' means the poor chap has keeled over - so he'll go where he's sent.
Well Marsh, the Silver Cord connecting soul to body may not have severed yet even though the soul has exited.

Yes. You simply have to ask a question where a lie has to be involved and then you know you have an incorrect answer. That's why you ask one guardian about what the other would tell you. You then know there is a lie there for sure even if you don't know which guardian lied.
This riddle has been asked so many times I'm surprised the dying man doesn't remember which door without asking.
OG has put it very succinctly.
