Oh dear. I was only asking the other day if he`s still alive. He was our MP and I remember all the trouble over Norman Scott.
Yes and somebody shot Norman Scott's dog, a rather horrid unsavoury mess.

He was in his mid 80s. A good innings even though he'd been ill for some time.
237 will possibly remember the trial going on in North Devon. Everyone had a theory, or knew someone who knew someone etc. Mostly in the pubs.

Plenty of conspiracy theories too, I remember.
I didn't realise he was still with us.
Has he been beamed up or down, I wonder?
His wife died earlier this year. Her first husband was the Earl of Harewood, first cousin to the queen, whom she divorced because of his adultery. Lots of funny goings on in high places.

I remember the joke that went something like
Jeremy Thorpe goes to the doctor and says '' Doctor I think I must have got a splinter in my bum!''
Doctor replies '' You're lucky you haven't got the whole blo*dy cabinet in there!''
Eddie lol xx
Actually, for all his "ways", I liked Jeremy Thorpe. He was VERY stupid and naïve, in the extreme, and he faded rapidly into obscurity. However, the man is now dead, so RIP Mr Thorpe.
