anyone seen it? It's riding high down here. When I was little, the September moon was Harvest Moon, the October one was Hunters' Moon - what's November?

its very bright, and can someone say whether that's Jupiter next to it, because i have asked this before
massive here and there's a thin veneer of cloud - the cemetery next door is particularly spooky....or maybe I shouldn't have had that third pint.

thought so, excellent.
Brilliant - thanks chaps - just been outside with the big Canon stabilised bins & can not only see Jupiter but its moons too - wonderful :=))))

I'm afraid (to lower the tone) that this is now The Beaver Moon ...
Huge full moon? Oh gawd! Don't tell them in R&S! Some of them are bad enough at the best of times! :o)
When I consider Ed's heavens, the work of his fat fingers, the moon and the stars, which he hast ordained; what is an ABer, that thou art mindful and damn scary of him?

LOL naomi - OH has just gone to work - as he left, he commented about the moon, and said "no doubt the nutters will be out on AB tonight...."
Haaa!
no nutters, just some who are fascinated with this magical light.
thanks Boxtops - have just wobbled out in my garden and looked up - absolutely clear evening with the moon and two stars/planets? very prominent
Very clear here tonight but I must say it looked the same size as the other full moons I have seen.

scotman, it was huge as it was rising (I know it's to do with angle of view etc.) but it looked very near!

me too em, I have always been fascinated by the moon, since I was a tadpole.
Very high, had to open the window and look up to see it.
Moon had a distinct ring of lit up cloud around it here in Leicestershire - looked lovely. A friend of ours said this usually meant rain - is he right?
I always thought a ring around the moon meant frost or snow. Don't know for sure.
The moon over the sea here is just lovely!............and yes Ann, rain is forecast for tomorrow here!.................
Unfortunately, when I was young a very bright moon was called a bombers moon, for the obvious reason.
