why semmi skimmed milk powder

i have aquired a bread maker its great had it two weeks so wake up to fresh bread every other day , have made 6 different breads but why do all the recipies use milk powder? , as regular oven baked bread is only flour, water and yeast thanks

yes i know but why? ,as you dont add these when you make bread in the oven !
Salt is in all bread recipes that use yeast surely as it activates the powdered yeast. Besides, bread would taste bland without it. Sugar is used too. Fat just ensures that bread keeps for longer and is a normal ingredient. I don't use butter in my bread making machine, just 1/2 oz of whatever comes to hand, but I prefer olive oil.

(I use less sugar and salt than suggested in the bread making recipe.)

Powdered milk is instead of normal milk, because milk might go off during the waiting period.
I have never baked any oven bread without salt.
