Starters:
(Diver caught wild scottish) King Scallops seared, with Pernod dressing salad garnish

cream of chicken soup with warm bread roll

pork liver pate with garlic and calvados melba toast and salad garnish

Main courses:

Pan fried (I know, what else am I going to cook it in!) Duck breast with black cherries, new potatoes, peas or salad

Chicken, smoked ham (and prawns if wished) Paella - saffron rice with mixed peppers, onions, and peas

Beef Bourguignon - Chunks of Aberdeen angus Black steak, cooked in Cote du Rhone red wine, with whole baby onions, smoked bacon lardons, mushrooms and fresh herbs. served with new potatoes and good bread to mop up the gravy!

Vegetarian choice: Spinach and ricotta ravioli

Puds:

Malibu cheesecake Pineapple on top, toasted coconut around the sides, Malibu in the cheesey bit!

Boozy bananas baked with butter, rum, and brown sugar

Mint chocolate mousse cake

Fresh fruit salad, ice cream

How many are you cooking for mercia ? I'm sure you must have a reinforced Dining Table to hold all this nice food ! ;-)

i've got guests tonight, 8 of them, i'm doing the scallops, the beef and the vegetarian, the cheesecake and the fruit salad and ice cream - the other dishes are just a choice i put up for AB'ers
Soup / pate , paella/ beef - I can't choose but I will def go for Malibu cheesecake
