Hiya homerbart- I'm no expert on slow cookers, I only got mine last week, but I'd have said a rattling lid isn't good news!
Have you still got the receipt? I'd take it back if I was you.
Could be just the steam trying to escape. Place a long wooden spoon in the cooker, and let the lid rest against it.
Yeah that's normal, nothing to worry about
