Go to the vets and get one from them, the ones for pet shops are just not strong enough.

thanks - vets down at the bottom of the street. thanks
jennyjoan, the one I use for my cats and dogs is called Broadline. It is a liquid that you put on the back of their neck, and it kills all parasites, external and internal, such as worms, fleas, ticks etc.
You can only get it from your vet and it is a bit more expensive than the usual Frontline treatment, but it is worth it because it covers everything. I use it about three times a year and it is many years since I last saw a flea or a worm in or on any of my animals.
good luck
Johnson's is a brand I trust with my Cairn, have used 'cheaper' brands before and they're just not as effective.
I have never had probs with ones from pet shops jj and all the dogs I have had over the years have never had worms.
My dog had Milbemax from the vets. They do two types but the Best one by far is the chewy meaty flavoured one. Costs about £7 but only given every three months & a small price to pay I think
