Knickerbocker Glory Recipe

Hi, I used to love Knickerbocker Glory when I used to go out to restaurants in the 70's. Does anyone have a tried and trusted recipe for it? Thanks in advance.

strawberry jelly tinned fruit cocktail vanilla icecream more jelly more fruit more icecream whipped cream and a cherry on the top thats the old fashioned way

or try raspberry compote vanilla icecream fresh raspberries strawberry icecream raspberry jelly whipped cream and cherry

300 ml Double cream.
140 gms caster sugar.
fresh strawberries.
Freezable tub.

Pick out the smaller strawberries to use, they are usually sweeter, cut of stalks and dice them, smaller pieces the better.
Add ingredients in a large bowl, stir well until sugar has stopped grinding on the bottom of the bowl.

Put in container ( don't forget expansion on freezing cream).
Freeze overnight.
