does anyone remember the cheap fizzy pop you could get from the pop van? no one seems to remember the flavour "apple sparkle" it used to taste a bit like sweet cider. Im sure it existed!

I remember that - was it Panda Pop? I remember an apple flavour too (which I didn't like - but now love cider). This was in South Wales (in the valleys). Then it changed to Corona pop (or it might have been that all along).

it may have been corona, I thought it may have been a cheaper brand because we couldnt afford the big names ;)

We had the 'Alpine' van, but were strictly Lemonade or Cream Soda drinkers.
we used to have a Corona van come around.

...though I preferred the older "RRRRRRRRRIMSKYKORSAKOV!!!" ad for same.
Alpine sounds really familiar too - maybe it was alpine and then it changed to corona.
Before i got married, I knew a guy who drove a pop van, I was hardly impressed when he left me a crate of pop at home. I'd no idea he knew where I lived or even though enough about me to leave me a crate of pop (assorted flavours as well!) My mother went barmy,
