..but we don't particularly like slagging matches either....?
^ LOL Johnny, you did that while I was typing!
....or Emily
Just chill innit,
I know dot, but we have to remember that this is largely to do with personality, some folk are blunt and straight to the point, and some others just can't be that way!...Surely it's best that we're not all the same................

not sure there have been any of those boxtops, lol yes johnny.
i always try to be polite. i just don't reply to questions that are posted just to provoke.
as long as you stay away from dodgy subjects then you can be blunt to a point.

there is little tolerance for large scale debates that culminate in open disagreements, which I think is sad. Abuse isnt tolerated rightly but a fiery debate should not be prevented.
I do sometimes, islowry, when the post is just WRONG, I can't help myself!
Love your avatar Islowry - you remind me of Lord Fairhaven
Yes, Islowry, so do I! I don't see the point in slagging anyone on here!......but sadly everyone is not of the same mind sometimes..................
How Blunt?

Well Johnny wants to be 'James', but I'd rather be 'Anthony'. (An intelligent professor hiding a streak of villainy).
it's a self portrait of L S Lowry, lard
Being too blunt on here can sometimes come across as being slightly arrogant and high and mighty, and is true that the person is like that in their real life too..........just as well we can log off then, eh? ........no time for arrogance
It's fab Islowry - wish I could paint (pictures - not just walls & ceilings)
That said there is nothing better than a good well natured debate, so as long as no personal abuse dished out.....absolutely right to have it here.

alternatively they could be from Yorkshire Yogi, which of course means they call a spade a spade
Too true, Yogi.

As a model of excellence myself, I can't stand the arrogance of some of the lesser mortals around here ;-)
bluntness can be misconstrued for rudeness as well
