Well in the short term,l both are doable without.

Got a microwave?

Wash clothes in the bath- been there many a time without a washer and it's not as daunting as you may think. Remember to wash only when necessary.

Underwear obviously has to be done every day, but other clothes can be warn at least twice. Make sure you take them off when not needing them (stick PJ's on when in house and not leaving for a while) Hang your clothes back up again, and freshen with Fabreeze if necessary.

bath towels, bedding and jeans are the worst. I found that bath towels would last a good couple of days, if thoroughly aired after each use.

Drying hand washed clothes is usually a problem too as you obviously can't spin most of the water out of them. But in this weather we've been having lately, drying them outside shouldn't be a problem.

Have your lights gone out as well....How long is it since you put money in the electric meter..?
Good for you ..
I expect you are permanently crinkled, then : )
Well if you can't be ar$ed getting it repaired yourself, and if you won't accept advice (God forbid that you even say thank you to a poster- me- who put effort in trying to help you) What exactly what the point of your post?
Question Author
i dont put money in the meter, all the electrics working fine and dandy!
live in the 21st century yea but sometimes ya gotta go back to basics its crap i know
Maybe you could rent a washing machine until the L/lord fixes yours?
Question Author
boo dont take it too personal, im just having a rant, is that ok? i rent the house with another housemate all mods and cons belongs to the landlord!
Hi WhiteBears, if you don't mind me saying you're getting a lot of good advice but not paying attention. There's nothing wrong with handwashing clothes, if you think about it its more eco friendly. Speak to your landlord again and if he doesn't do the repairs cant you with hold some of your rent?
