I find that whenever a company takes fat/sugar/salt out of a product to make it healthier it usually ends up tasting inferior then the original product does everyone agree or is there a food/drink's taste which was actually improved?

Also, despite taking stuff out of a product and therefore using less ingredients, the bloody product usually costs twice as much !!!!!!

Lol, what a ripoff!
the other thing that gets me is, when the product first comes onto the market, it's the best that can be bought, you won't find better anywhere - until a couple of months later, when the 'new' and 'improved' product comes out....
Those products that are 'revised' versions of full-fat,sugar and salt originals WILL taste different. But look at it this way...if you had always used the lower-salt/sugar/fat version...then the 'original' would taste overpowering to you.
Setting up new production lines, for what will most likely be a far lower number to be produced, will of course add to the final price.Just as organic will cost more due not only to the cost of the initial preparation of the soil (it can take several years to get soil up to the proper standard)..but also because there is not as yet as much call for organic foods.

True pastafreak.
Don't bother with 'diet' food. If they reduce the fat they add more sugar; if they reduce the sugar they add sweetener.
No food is 'bad'; it's the amounts that can be bad.
Just eat what you want but in moderate amounts. If you want to lose weight then eat as much as you want of veg, salad, fruit, etc. If you fancy biscuits, cake, pie or so on; have some but only half as much as you would normally eat.

Madmaggot you're absolutely correct, Nothing should be frowned upon Its all about the how often you eat balance and portions, If your diet is in check then everything can be eaten in moderation.
Madmaggot is correct, don't waste your money on inferior tasting products (Low fat versions). Use full fat products but smaller portions. Butter or low fat spread? Look at the ingredients and you will never buy spreads again!!! Also, buy plain yoghurts and add your own fruit or purees.
Good luck!
