well apparently American are more effecient and like an extension of your gas oven, you can cook anything in the american one (pizza etc). With the australian ones they cook more quickly and can burn on the outside and be raw on the inside, suppposedly, however as they are gas, surely you would just turn it down. I wondered if you still get the bbq taste with the american ones?

i think you only get bbq taste with charcoal

We only use sticks on ours. Can't beat the taste if not it's just like eating something cooked in the kitchen, so what's the point?
