The bnp question
44 Answers
If you knew someone was a bnp supporter or had voted for them.
Would it alter your opinion of them ?
If you werent already aware of it and thought they seemed really nice , would you then suspect that they maybe werent as honest about things as you may have assumed ?
Would it possibly clash with your views on immigration /religion and would it change your relationship with them in any way ?
Yes or no answers are as relevant as in depth ones on this id imagine.

Not at all doc i can live abroad get a pension , vote in elections , get medical care paid for by the UK government , its part of the great democracy that is the UK.
When you start to talk of relevance you are on shaky ground.
What makes your opinion more relevant than mine?your location?
so someone on a remote Scottish island , still in UK , has a more relevant opinion?
Or are you getting to a local viewpoint?
Sorry I'm a British passport holder I'm born in Scotland so Scottish/British and my opinion is as relevant as yours.
When you say stuff like that doc that's not democratic and British its more like communist /fascist dictatorship.
ALL MEN ARE EQUAL , BUT SOME ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS ?
Do you see the hole in your arguement?
This is nothing to do with the question.
If you discovered someone held the extremist views of the bnp would it affect your friendship/relationship with them ?

My perception of the BNP is probably broadly the same as most people - I believe it to be rooted in racism and an elitist view of the world based on an accident of birth.
I am lucky to be white, employed, and a home owner in a nice area, but the notion of blaming less fortunate circumstances simply on people of a different colour moving in near to me seems to be a knee-jerk reaction formed by people who regard being white as some sort of birth-right..
I have only known one person who admitted to being a BNP member. I already knew he was a racist idiot, so it couldn;t really damage my perception of him any further!

Now who would be so low as to stir up trouble on a legend thread?
It is simple, there is a right answer and there is a wrong answer.
The right answer is that you would henceforth shun the person. The wrong answer is that you would respect them. There is no middle path.
(Now it is on the right thread!!)
