(not the greatest cook in the world, but it sounds quite nice)
OK seriously I would cook

Filo parcels stuffed with camembert, caramelised onions and cranberry.

Chicken marinated in a homemade BBQ sauce, wrapped in bacon with cheese on. with green beans and sliced layered potatoes.

Then banana cheesecake with a hot toffee sauce.

lol Knobby - I didn't understand a word of that!! But I have cooked that before for a bloke and he has found it impossible not to kiss me!!

90% of my recipes are based on other people's recipes which i mess around with and refine until I get what I like! I think the above were based on Gary Rhodes and Delia (who I could actually hit - most of her recipes that I have have rude comments scrawled on them).

Knobbs - if that is too much try

Fried halloumi with a pine nut and sun dried tomato salad

Chicken with juniper berries and tarragon and creme fraiche with new potatoes and minted pea puree

Bombe mexicaine (sticky coffee toffee meringue sandwiched together with coffee cream)!

So how many for dinner on Sat night?!
Warm goat's cheese salad with garlic croutons.

Stuffed green peppers with pilau rice.

Soft-centered warm chocolate cake with home made "creme anglaise".

And plenty of good wine! :O)

I don't believe in "modern cuisine", where all you have on your plate is half an undercooked carrot and a tiny piece of fancy-named chicken. Eating is a pleasure! Tasty doesn't have to be complicated. :O)
