I was going to suggest a few boring ones like egg mayo (preferably using free range eggs) or hummus - either plain or the spicy one that is available from Tesco's or even a bean paté (all with salad etc) until I had a peek at the site mentioned by Amron.... wow !!!!!! What fabulous ideas ..... and then I wandered over to the Pie section of the Recipe department.... I am now drooling hehe.... Such a brilliant site deserves a bookmark !

Why do people not read properly SHE SAYS VEGAN AND NOT CHEESE...
so people post egg and cheese and brie????

Anyway yes as kanewood says Holland and Barret do some nice pate in tubes.

http://www.cauldronfoods.co.uk/index.php/produ cts/organic-roasted-parsnip-carrot-pate/ are in most supermarkets now..

You can also get deli Quorn (sandwich ready) or frozen and you can cook and slice..

Lol boogie...Jaffa Cake actually asked for both veggie and vegan recipes... I appreciate that most veggies would be ok eating vegan food (but not the other way around) but then the question would have just asked for vegan sarnies.....

Silly vegetarians! if he/she listens to you guys there'll be absolutely nothing for vegans! and the few vegan ideas that you've came up with are impossible i mean seriously roast vegetables in a sandwich? lol *shakes head* ok so i'm a vegan and i LOVE golden syrup sandwiches it's easy to make and i know alot of people out there who'd drool at the thought of golden syrup sandwiches! also if you could get some kind og vegan cheese marmite and vegan cheese sandwiches would go down nicely i imagine =] you can get vegan cheese in most health food shops AND if you have the time to do it you could put marmite on some tofu and grill it then cut it up like you would chicken and put it in some sandwiches with like vegan spreadable cheese or tomatoe or something but again that's getting complicated and not everyone likes marmite but i do know that in asda there's usually a special vegan shelf and you can get vegan mayo so you could always do vegan mayo and cheese =] xxxx
